Some common questions and answers if you're unable to sign into any of the portals above:

How do I get a Chalmers ID (CID)?

• New student at Chalmers

• New GU (Göteborg University) student at Chalmers

As a GU student you will be able to create your CID as soon as the class you have registered for starts,
by visiting the MyAccount portal and using your GU account to activate your CID.

• New employee, doctoral student or guest

You will gain access to your account as instructed by your manager or equivalent.
When you have received your CID, kindly go to the Chalmers Intranet and read the section IT introduction for new employees.

How do I use an activation code or a one-time password to get my CID?

If you have received an activation code or a one-time password to get your CID, go to MyAccount and select the menu option Activation code / one time password. From there, you may activate your account or set a new password. If your account is brand new, you will need to wait for approximately a day or so before you can use it.

How do I change, or set, a password for my CID?

You can change, or set, a password in the MyAccount portal:

If you have received an activation code or one-time password, use that to set a password.

• Did you lose your CID password? Then you can sign in using your eduID or GU account instead, if you have either of those.
